Amelia Babbage
Eldest
child of a nouveau riche family descended from the eminent tinkerer Charles
Babbage, Amelia is unable to accept that riches mean stability in the chaotic
life of New London. To create the stability she seeks Amelia establishes The Babbage and Co Detective Agency and
with the help of Ilona the pixie she gains her first case: to find and recover
Blackbeard’s stolen silver. She hopes
to gain experience, which she sees as more important to survival than money. While gaining experience she unknowingly becomes a rescuer of
lost and struggling people.
