Here's my alternate version of the naked man with a ultra-long beard. He is Prometheus, who's falling from a great height towards London city. In the book he wraps his beard around his shoulders and curls into a ball, thinking mostly along the lines of "This is going to hurt.". The crash landing leaves a crater but as this happens in the prologue, it is no spoiler to say he survives. Well, he is a god.
