You can probably sprinkle on the cinnamon a little neater than I but I was hungry more than anything so food up!
Ingredients
- ½ cup Nuttlex
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 2 tsp Orgran No Egg whisked with 60mls water until thick
- 2 tbsp golden syrup
- 1 ¾ cups Orgran all purpose flour
- ½ cup Orgran self-raising flour
- ½ tsp bicarb soda
- 3 tsp cinnamon
- 1 tbsp caster sugar
- Method
- In a large bowl, cream the Nuttlex and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add ½ the No Egg mixture and golden syrup and beat well.
- Add the flours, 2 teaspoons of cinnamon and the bicarb soda.
- Mix until evenly combined and dough forms.
- Lightly roll and press the dough in the bowl for 1 minute.
- On a floured surface, roll the dough into a thick disc.
- Preheat oven to 180°C.
- Line 2 baking trays with aluminium foil.
- Combine the sugar and remaining cinnamon.
- Cut out biscuits and place them onto the trays.
- Brush the biscuits with the remaining No Egg mixture.
- Sprinkle the biscuits with cinnamon sugar.
- Bake for 10 to 12 minutes.
- Cool them on trays for 5 minutes and then transfer the biscuits to a wire rack.
