Rosalie Fitzpatrick on fiction and cooking without allergens: writing, editing, best of lists, reading recommendations, books, mangas, movies, TV shows, comics, quotes and recipes. All recipes focus on allergen free cooking suitable for endometriosis and pregnancy: wheat, egg, cow's milk, rye, oats, soy, almonds, peanuts, red meat and gluten free. Also, most are seafood, alcohol, yeast and nut free. All other allergen exclusions vary per recipe.
For this, I have listed characters that could be classified as properly mad or out of their minds, at least, not just a scary but understandable character. For example, Damien is evil not mad. The Midwich Cookoos are survivalists who see humans as a threat and are perfectly rational within their own species. Reagan is possessed by a demon who is perfectly rational in demon terms even if the result of the possession looks like pure insanity. This list is of those who are insane, whether judged by human expectations or alien.
Norman Bates from Psycho
Leatherface from The Texas Chainsaw Massacre
Hannibal Lecter from Silence Of The Lambs
Jack Torrance from The Shining
Annie Wilkes from Misery
Freddy Krueger from A Nightmare on Elm Street
Gage Creed from Pet Cemetery
Khan from Star Trek 2: The Wrath of Khan
Dr. Moreau in the The Island of Dr. Moreau
Malachi from Children of the Corn
Nola Carveth from The Brood
Dr. Vannacutt from House on Haunted Hill
Carrie from Carrie
Joker from The Dark Knight
Sadako Yamamura from Ringu
Dr. William Weir from Event Horizon
The Reavers and River Tam from Serenity (hard to tell who is scarier)
They are almost a kind of their own by the time the series/movie is set but they are insane humans.
