Allergy free waffles recipe

I kept checking on them to see if the experiment was working this time as I'd failed once before. So next time they'll be browner, hopefully. But still. Yippee! Working waffles that taste lovely.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup Orgran all purpose flour
  • 4 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tsp Orgran No Egg
  • Pinch of salt
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 4 tsp olive oil
  • ½-1 tsp vanilla essence

Method
  • Plug in your waffle iron.
  • Mix the flour, baking powder, No Egg, salt and sugar together in a large bowl.
  • Mix water, oil and vanilla essence together in a separate small bowl.
  • Fold water mixture into the flour mixture, stirring until just combined.
  • If there are a few lumps you can ignore them.
  • Pour or spoon batter onto a hot waffle iron, covering about 3/4 of the surface.
  • Close the waffle iron and do not open until steam is coming out the sides.
  • Serve hot with Nuttlex, maple syrup, berries and/or your favourite topping.

    1. We've had one for years :) I bought one and then got the news... It made me sad for a while but now everything's better.

  2. Baking powder is made out of gluten, it is very bad for gluten intolerant people.
